nice news and Bad news. The nice news is that the manufacturer must have taken customer reviews to heart. They have inserted a small wooden dowel through the handle into the scrubber head so you don't have to worry about the scrubber head falling off any more. The bad news is that just as other reviewers stated the loofah is not rough - either dry or wet! I feel like I'm just rubbing a wash cloth around my back. Really disappointed here.FYI, (not sure if this is appropriate or not but...) I bought the Aquis Exfoliating Back Scrubber, the one that looks like a long wide strap; this feels great, nicely rough on your skin, does the job I expected and wanted - way better purchase.

If by "detachable handle" they mean it comes off and never goes back on, the sure, it's detachable. I bought this hoping for a handle I could frequently take off and put back on but after 5 minutes of struggling to even get the handle off, then the wood being too warped to put back on... I gave up. Couldn't even get through a whole shower using it. Already in the trash

The loofah itself is nice, but when it arrived the wood was cracked along the top of the handle. I think the wood swelled and cracked, and so the head that is supposed to be detachable, is not. I bought this one primarily because of the detachable head feature, so this is a real disappointment.

A Total waste of money! This is a cheap piece of garbage. The Sponge is barely glued to the handle. I wasn't able to use it because the sponge fell off when I took it out of the package. Now I have to request a refund and probably send this junk back. Not worth my time. Please don't waste your money.

I bought one of these loofahs for myself and one for a gift. It has a nice long handle, easy to hold and reach your back. It was advertised as having a removable handle. I don't see any way to remove the handle but I don't really have a need to remove it either.

A bit harder and rougher than I would like, but it does the job of definitely scraping off the outer layer of skin that I desperately apparently don't need... It does really make me feel squeaky clean though although you'll be a bit red for a bit afterwards if you scrub too hard.

Earth Therapeutics Loofah Back Massager: great for exfoliating and massaging your back. The long handle makes it easy to reach all the way around, and the loofah is soft but effective. I highly recommend it!
