I think for the money is a decent choice. The sound is nice and the features are nice but is not quite intuitive, so it takes some poking around (if you don't like to read the manual) to know your way around the features. I won't give 5 stars because the connectivity is not as reliable as I'd like to, and I have not found a way to automatically connect to my phone. It says it will, I have the option ON, but it does not, you must press "allow" every single time, and also "ok" on the mandatory warning that you should not watch the screen while driving.I have seen many complains about no mute button, and let me tell you all, there IS an option for it. Just hold down the low volume for 3 seconds, and it will mute by default. this option can be changed to Attenuate if you prefer to, but the unit does have the choice.Bottom line, If all you need is bluetooth connectivity and are on a budget, it's a decent choice.

This unit is impressive. You need to install the Pioneer Smart Sync app on your phone. Pair your phone via the app. Now you have access to any music ONLINE you use. You have complete control of what is sent to each speaker. Exp. you can set the smaller dash speakers not to get any bass signal. impressive improvement in sound and volume the speakers can handle. Has a built in radio function. Complete calling functions. You can order a accessory plug in unit that lets you add backup warning sensors to alert if your close to hitting what's behind you. It takes a while to remember what each button symbol is and does. Its not to hard. Some of the functions are buried under a couple menus but that's like any new thing. Just poke around you'll find it.

The SPH10BT is an extremely nice radio. Shipment was fast, I just finished installing it this week on my Mazda5. I bought the wire harness from Crutchfield. On its own, without connecting my phone as a screen, the radio functions perfectly well. I was surprised by how much better the radio sounded. The built in EQ adjustment and presets are great. I did install and connect it with Pioneer's backup sensors and it works great. I very much prefer this than paying for a lower quality screen radio console. It makes sense to use our phone's high quality screen. The RGB theme lighting is cool and attractive as well. I just hope the springs and rubber on the phone holder will last a long time. I'll definitely try to be careful with it.
