Pros: Cheap, decent sound, get loud, attractive cabinetCons: These are constructed of particle board covered with veneer, not 3/4 MDF as advertised. Very light weight and probably have a ton of resonance.Listening experience: These get loud but as others have said, the bass is extremely lacking. A few test tracks show bass peaks between 50-80 hz and they struggle to produce musical bass below 50hz. My pair of Yamaha 8" bookshelf speakers teamed with a Klipsh 12" sub sound drastically better. BUT for the price, these are very nice speakers for a man cave, just pair them with a nice sub.

This floor speaker is VERY big. I was really worried about finding a replacement for my realistic floor speakers that are almost 40 years old (but they sounded impressive and had some really nice bass, nice speakers) BUT these speakers are exactly what I was hoping they would be!! You can't beat it for the money. I have a pretty powerful stereo setup. It handles everything well. I'm glad I finally bougjt these, I was sceptical. I'm super happy with these speakers. 15" woofer, blowing some air out of the air portals. Great buy!

I really wanted Cerwin Vegas but just couldn't afford them. When I found these I was hesitant because of the low price but decided to give them a try anyways. I thought I'd be giving a 1-2 star review but I was wrong! These things actually sound really nice. Better mids and highs than your probably thinking. Oh and did I mention the BASS!?! They hit hard, like you should expect from a 15" woofer. In another review I read someone mentioned the base drops off under 50HZ, uh Nope. I'm getting nice clean bass down to the low/mid 30'sHZ range. They really do look nice also, and I love the shape of the grill at the bottom that allows you to see those ports with the grill on. And the ports won't eat my 3yr olds hot wheels (see picture).

To sum these speakers up concisely I would have to say: audiophile quality speakers for dirt cheap. These speakers sound impressive and for me to say that about something this cheap means something. The whole audio spectrum sounds very nice on these speakers until you hit around 60 hz--then the bass starts to cut out--but hey that's what the subwoofer is for anyway. I have two of these getting 135 watts RMS each plus a 12 inch polk subwoofer and the music sounds almost flawless. Unless you are an audiophile I don't think you will be able to find anything wrong with these speakers. Even after over a year of having them I am still amazed at how impressive they sound. Buy these speakers you cannot go wrong for the price or the quality.

Wow I am old school and love the older speakers but these speakers sound great some much so I bought another set I have an sx 1050 and they sound perfect I’ve been able to turn it up past half on the volume 😊 and that’s a bunch of old school wattage

Decent for the price, but the tweeters are insufficient.Works nice with my 200W receiver.HEAVY, so make sure you put them exactly where you want it the 1st time...lol

These speakers are very nice for the money. they remind me of some old school cerwin vega's I used to have. I've got em hooked up to a 3000watt home theater and the neighbors say when I'm listening to music they're listening to music..lol😂

I order this speakers and connect them as soon as i got them ... well one speaker was not working the one that was working didn't had the sound i was expecting ... I had to return them and pay shipment again so I pay for shipment even it wasn't my fault that the speaker was damage ... I bought a different set of speakers more expensive but a 20 times better and they sound great ... I would give 0 Stars to this company and to this speakers

The salient points:These throw a nice deal of sound, even at low volume - not something I'd use in apartments or attached houses/condos.High quality audio will sound extremely nice; lesser quality stuff is meh. I get great fidelity out of both well cut digital music, and much of my old vinyl too. These are not miracle speakers - you'll get out of them what you put in.Audiophiles: They have better than average fidelity with music played at lower volume and complex orchestral stuff. This is something inefficient speakers generally lack, i.e., bass falls off and high treble is muffled unless the music is blasted at which time the bass out sounds the mid & highs. At higher volume the bass is very strong but "contained" and somewhat regulatable with your amp. You can hear the individual bass end instruments. So I consider these rather efficient.These are quite large and very heavy (62 lbs). Make sure you want them before you order. Shipping back will cost you over $300.

This I really what speaker buyers want to know and can’t seem to find pictures so here they are. The guts are cool to see. I want to see the voice coil, and the magnet, and the crossover. They are tight, and sound nice. There is nothing fancy about the 15” woofer, so there is only one way to check it out and that is to blast it. List wonderful.

Ok, I'll start by saying I'm no audiophile by any measure, so all the technical sound measurements go way over my head. My ears are not sophisticated enough to detect subtleties that audiophiles enjoy. That said, I'm very satisfied with these speakers. To my ears, they sounds very nice! They certainly can fill a large room or patio with lots of sound and the bass is tons of fun! If you like your music loud with a healthy dose of bass, I think you'll like these speakers.

These are exactly what I was hoping they would be! I would recommend atleast 150 watts per speaker/channel. I had cerwin Vegas back in the day and I'd say they would compete with the sl12's.

i HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD VINTAGE SPEAKERS FOR SOME YEARS NOW , AND HAVE BEEN ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A PAIR OF SPEAKERS THAT COULD RIVAL MY CERWIN-VEGA DX-9'S. NOW LET'S NOT FANTACIZE THAT THESE BIC'S CAN SURPASS THAT SOUND QUALITY BUT... BUT..BUT, THEY COME CLOSE , AND THE PRICE IS A FRACTION OF A NEW SET OF C-V'S WITH 15'S I PUT THESE UP AGAINST MANY OTHER SPEAKERS IN THE $1,00 RANGE AND WATCH MY FREINDS JAWS DROP WHEN I TELL THEM WHAT I PAID. The speakers arrived timely. I ordered them to replace some vintage Pioneers speakers. If you are like me you love BASS with clear mids and crisp highs. I am very impressed by the sound quality and definitely feel I have a great set of speakers for the cost. They hit hard and have that sound I remember as a kid when houses in the neighborhood rocked. You will be happy owning a set.

The more play time they get, the better they sound. Can't beat the quality of sound for the price. They sound just as nice as my 2 Cerwin Vega 12's for less than half the price. Great product.
