I sincerely looked forward to having this product as a universal backup for most car issues one encounters on the road. Fortunately amazon was quick to address the issue when I found out the compressor function didn't work at all. My car was still in my driveway or I may have been on the side of the road in freezing temps finding this all out. The other functions may work (haven't tested them) but the compressor doesn't, it sounded as though it was but continuously shut off after adding only a few pounds when tested on three separate tires from two different vehicles (shut off at about 26 - 29 lbs). The gauge was also incorrect when tested against two very accurate tire pressure readers, it read 34 lbs when the pressure was still under 30. I'm not the only person this has happened to.. The item should be recalled.

Buyer beware. The model I purchased, the J7CS, was originally pictured with the 12 volt dc cigarette plug. It also is pictured with the cigarette plug on the Stanley website. It also refers to the plug in the description. It does not have such a plug. AND it is not returnable! So if you are going to purchase this as a source of 12 v dc power, don't. For me, a great waste of money. They have upgraded some (but not all) of the pictures to reflect the 3 usb ports.

Waste of money- this car jumper does not fully charge(reach the green light) and even l left it over 12 hr charging. This item is defective- l bought it because l have a week battery in my car and due to cold weather it needs to be jumped or car battery charged . This jumper is not serving that purpose.l just wasted my money.I wanted to return it , however, this item is not eligible for return because of dangerous materials/ liquid ....!!!Actually l am surprised how they even shipped me this dangerous item without any special labels stating that ?!!! I'm not sure how this is categorized as dangerous material is just a battery in this case a faulty battery?!I'm including the pictures regarding the aboveSee pictureVery disappointed about this purchase unfortunately Amazon Prime member....

I bought this product based on reviews here on Amazon and only used the air compressor 5 or 6 times and now it is not working. It stays inside the house and I charge it once a month in case I need to use it. Never used the jump starter (now I am wondering if that even works) and the air compressor has only been used to air up the tires on my riding lawn mower.Unfortunately it has been over a year and Stanley won't warranty or repair it. So I have a $70 brick. I have a Sears air compressor that is over 10 years old that still works! Glad I didn't need to use it in an emergency. Definitely do not recommend!

Bought this item August 2015 when I thought my my car battery was starting to die (along with an extension cord since a charger is NOT included) thinking I would be able to use it for years. Once the battery went this unit jumped my car with no problems which was great. After getting a new car battery I used this item to jump a few other cars throughout the first year of ownership and it performed well. I regularly used the air compressor (which is quite loud and vibrates the unit considerably) to maintain tire pressure in two vehicles. The compressor didn't blow up tires quickly but it got the job done up to 40 PSI (that's as high as I had need of, not sure how it would have performed at a higher PSI). After a year (when the warranty expired) the air compressor began to take even longer to reach only moderate PSI levels until Christmas 2016 when the unit could not inflate a tire past 30 PSI. I tried the compressor several times in January and it is unable to inflate past 20 PSI and might not inflate at all. I informed the manufacturer that this product life (1 year 4-5 months) is unacceptable, that I was aware the product is out of warranty, and would like a replacement or similar offer. The manufacturer replied with a standard form letter informing me to return the item to the retailer if the product was under warranty. I replied stating that I was already aware of the terms of the warranty and would like them to replace the product out of warranty. The manufacturer responded with the same standard from letter regarding the terms of the warranty. An item such as this, designed to give you peace of mind on the road should last years, not just until the warranty expires. My two stars reflect the one year of acceptable service this unit rendered. If I could go back I would not purchase this item.

I bought it because a friend had one, and used it to start my car when the battery had died. I did use it to inflate a nearly flat tire I had, and it worked perfectly. It's practical, however, since buying it, I've seen other devices far less bulky & heavy, as this is no small item.Since first reviewing, I've also had the opportunity to charge my dead battery, maybe twice. It worked great, started right up. The only issue was the instructions! It tells you to hook up positive to the positive terminal, and the negative cable to a metal part of the car, and specifically says NOT to connect it to the other battery terminal. Well, I did it as instructed, twice, and nothing, the batter went totally dead, and I thought I was going to have to cancel my plans. Well, I remembered my friend had connected the cables to both battery terminals, so I did it, and it started right up! I wonder if others believe their unit didn't work, because they were following the directions!Plus, the "emergency light" & USB charger buttons are far too easily turned on. I've had the power drained at least a couple times, due to the USB charger or the "emergency light" going on accidentally, since there's nothing protecting the buttons, and sitting in the trunk, anything bumping it will turn it on. They need to fix this oversight, as it would be of no use, should the power be gone, and you have a flat or dead battery...I have since realized I can rotate the light around so that the button in on the underneath side, and so far, it's worked to prevent it from accidentally switching on, and draining the battery.

We got it for emergencies to put in our Chevy Avalanche. It should have worked, but we just had the opportunity (husband left lights and radio on too long at a friend's house) and it DID NOT JUMP OUR TRUCK! It should have had the charge to do so as well, because we had just charged it. We know how to use it and that it did work before because we jumped a little 90's honda civic with it previously. This is not nice!

I was excited to get a power pack with all these great features from a brand I trust... BUT I can't even use it without buying a charge cord that is sold separately and it is not even mentioned in the product description?! Shame on you Stanley Tools!

Charged the Jumpit for 40 hours, like the instructions said. Tried to jump a Nissan Sentra 1.8l...It didn't work. Recharged Jumpit. Tried to jump 3 different 4cyl cars over a week long period. It wouldn't start ONE....not even CLOSE to being able to start any of them. Says it can jump V8's...I doubt it. I was able to start ALL of the vehicles with regular jumper cables and a Honda I4 and Nissan V6. Just a HORRIBLE product that doesn't do what it advertises. I have tried to get a refund, but they seem to run you circles.
