There were lots of things I wasn't sure about with this phone but was willing to accept either way. My primary need was to make sure that I had a working handset for my home office phone line after the previous handset died. I didn't know if any phone directory entries I added to one phone would automatically be accessible on the second handset. I didn't know if it would let me put in the pauses AND pound signs for the conference calls I make frequently. I didn't know if the speakerphone functionality would be ok or not. i didn't even know for sure if the handsets could go back on either base. All I cared was that the handsets would both work and that the phones had decent sound. These phones have surpassed all of my expectations in every way. They just work. The directory information is always updated between the handsets. The directory listing lets me use all of the keys (and pauses) that I need for my conference calls. The speakerphone is great and I often use it instead of holding the phone up to my face. The handsets don't care where you put them and are intelligent about being "found" when you have to use the handset locator feature. The quality of sound is certainly comparable to my iphone. There just isn't anything that I've had any reason to complain about with either phone. They've been great.

Just what I needed to use with my Vonage service. This phone DOES NOT have an answering machine, which works for me since my phone plan offers voice mail. The devices are compact and fit almost anywhere. The ring is loud enough, the displays are bright and the numbers and letters are big enough. I recommend it.

I am disappointed. I though I had bought another just like I had been using for 9 years. But this one had no answering system! My bad, but I’m stuck with a wrong choice. I cannot control the speaker volume and I am a little hard of hearing and I miss calls. I cannot easily transfer my old phone numbers onto this phone. (Maybe I should be writing FOR my old phone...I did, nine years ago! But it rings....but I do miss my old phone....it’s a great brand, I just picked the wrong one in this brand. It’s a nice phone at an extremely nice price. And the brand builds a strong phone, too!

I used to have an older model of this phone in red. After a few years of having it and using it daily I’ve often dropped my phone in random places. Such as kitchen sink and once my toddler put it into the toilet. It still managed to work after all of this. I’ve dropped it down a flight of stairs a few times as well. While I a, assuming you all think I, very destructive, the truth is I am a young stay at home mother with three kids under five. My husband and I only rely on a house phone and it’s reslly relaxing to live without cell phones, so this phone sees all the abuse a normal cell phone would see. It’s impressive. We upgraded so that we had the convenience of being able to page one line to the other making communication upstairs to downstairs a lot easier especially with a new baby. I’d highly recommend this phone!

The only negative thing about the Phones is that The screens are barely legible. The lighting is so faint that you confuse the number three with the number eight unless you put it under a light. Otherwise it’s a great phone

I needed a quick replacement or my VOIP phone. I spend a lot of time on the phone and just assumed that this would have the option for a wired or wireless headphone. Nope. I haven't been able to find another phone that will work with this system that has a headphone adapter. This fact combined with a directory input and retrieval process that is cumbersome and unclear and I'll be shopping for another phone soon.

nice loud ring - easy to see display and number pad, plus it lights up when you pick it up. The size is just right - nice size to hold but light at the same time. And for no logical reason, I really like the way the numbers look on the number pad - it's like they're at the bottom of a clear gel - really neat.Anyway, for a nice price, we think it's a nice phone.

These hand-held phones are great. Not too complicated to program, long battery, nice reception, easy number pad to read, clear volume.... everything is great. I had to buy these since my land line in my kitchen just stopped working. So I have the base in the living room and the extra phone in the kitchen. I miss having the corded phone in the kitchen: it's easier to walk around with and my chin won't hit a button and disconnect the call and corded phones are great when the power goes out. But what are you going to do if the phone line dies..... These phones were a great solution until we can deal with the kitchen phone line.

Home use, I have used V-tech for many years and was very happy with quality and price, served all my needs well and lasted for years. This model is no nice, speakers do not work, they are intermittent, caller I.D. does not work properly, the paint chipped off quickly. I still have one of the former V-Tech phones, it STILL works great, puts these to shame. They worked OK FOR A VERY SHORT TIME, long enough to exceed return window, otherwise I would have returned. They are junk.

Everyone complains they cannot hear me when I use this phone, no matter where I position the microphone relative to my mouth or adjust the volume to. Avoid using because they do not work.
