First calibrated an AcuRite with the local five o'clock news in my city, the numbers were the same. Then a second time against this Taylor thermometer and hygrometer--the readings on both matched perfectly (both purchased here on Amazon). The main differences, as both are accurate, have comfort zone meters, and record 24hr hi and low readings, are price and display options. Without modifying the Taylor, (e.g., hook and loop tape), it only has a table stand, and is an add-on for around six bucks, The AcuRite can stand, be hung on a nail or screw, and has two powerful magnets. Decided to put two wood screws in the wall and stick the magnets to them. This one is $14-$15. The verdict--Can't go wrong with either of these meters. About he only thing that could make either of them better would be back-lit displays. One thing that may or may not be of note is the Acu-Rite seems somewhat more sensitive, as the readings change more quickly when moved into a different environment

This thermometer is easy to use and has an appealing display. It also helped me prove to my office mates that it is not in fact cold in here and they should probably just bring sweaters.

It is nothing crazy (I mean honestly, how much can you expect for an indoor thermometer and humidity gauge that costs $6.99?). That being said, it was super easy to set up, seems to be accurate, and is compact enough to bring/place basically anywhere. I have also dropped it at least 10 times onto a concrete floor and it is still perfectly functional.

Simple and compact, but impossible to read in anything other than the best lighting. Don't expect it to be readable at a distance otherwise. It really needs a backlight of some kind.Otherwise I have no complaints with it.

I bought several of these to spot around the house. I wanted to know temp and humidity in several rooms so I could set the HVAC registers to the right level for each room. This has worked out very well due to their low cost. I can't give 5 stars because the accuracy is not perfect. Before placing 5 units in various locations I set them side-by-side for two full days and learned that the temperature variance was as much as 1.3 degrees f. The humidity varied only 1%, which is not bad. Based on the price, however, I'd call this an extremely nice purchase value.

This product is not accurate. When i checked it with three other humidity gages this one is off by about twenty points. The other three gages read much closer to each other.

Very helpful. Indicating time, temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit) and humidity very clearly. I think it is rather accurate (temperature wise) but can't speak about humidity, still indicates when to turn on the humidifier. Note: the location you place it is going to affect the readings.

The Taylor hygrometer is a perfect size & designed for a quick read on room's temperature (F or C) & humidity levels. Plus, the 5-level humidity comfort level indicator makes it easy to visually gauge room's comfortability .Also, includes a clock (12 or 24 hour).Very accurate - I now can better control room's comfort and adjust accordingly - Luv it!

I have a bunch of these all over my house and they all work well. The accuracy seems to be about +/- 1 degree F which is pretty nice for something at this price point. The Humidity accuracy seems to be +/- 2% which is also nice. After 3 years and 1 battery change in each these are well made and I'd buy them again.

I enjoy the size, the display is large enough to be clearly visible but it's small enough to be portable and does not take up too much room on my desk. I'm using it to monitor the temperature at my office which feels warm at times. I bought this device as a sanity check but I enjoy simply having it to glance at every once and a while to check the clock / temperature and RH.
